Damon Motor Coach Expanding Manufacturing Capacity

November 19, 2007

Additional Capacity Could Add up to 100 New Jobs

Damon Motor Coach has announced they have purchased a building in Elkhart near their manufacturing campus in order to expand their manufacturing capacity.

Making the announcement, Bill Fenech - Damon President noted that the new building, which is approximately 45,000 sq. ft. on 8 acres, will be used for future expansion of a new product line and is expected to create 75 to 100 new jobs. “In a tough retail environment, our market share has grown for the last 3 years and our product offerings have also increased. This combined with our plans to create an entirely new product line requires us to add capacity,” said Fenech.

Damon Motor Coach, located in Elkhart, Ind., manufactures a full line of affordably-priced, high-quality Class A motorhomes including the Essence, Astoria and Tuscany diesel pushers and the gas-powered Daybreak and Challenger, plus the popular new Outlaw Toyhauler. Damon is a subsidiary of Thor Industries, Inc., Jackson Center, Ohio (NYSE: THO), the world’s largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles.
